Tempo Time Credits Board of Trustees Update.
Tempo Time Credits is pleased to welcome 4 new trustees. 2020 was a challenging year for many people. We are excited about the year ahead and what we hope to achieve as an organisation. We remain focused in 2021 to grow as an organisation, show recognition to volunteers and help communities recover from the impact of Covid-19.
The new year has got off to a great start at Tempo as we welcome our new Chair, Ron Jarman, and three Trustees at the end of January.
Ron brings extensive experience spanning board roles in the private, public and charity sectors. He is also the Chair of World at Play, which uses sport to promote inclusion via volunteer-led programs with a network of local partners. Ron said,
Whilst 2020 was clearly a difficult time for the many partners that Tempo Time Credits work with, it did demonstrate the power and potential reach of volunteering within our communities. So I am very excited to be able to join Tempo Time Credits at this pivotal time, where we can harness our partners’ ambitions and our capabilities to reinforce this message, help organisations retain these new volunteers and in turn give them the recognition that they deserve.
Anna Lewis, who has been acting as Chair over recent months, returns to her Trustee role which she has held since 2017. Anna said,
It has been my privilege to act as Chair of Tempo while we found the right person to lead our Board and organisation through the next stage of its development. 2020 proved to be an exceptional year, which caused major disruption to every aspect of our operation. I am proud of the work that our team of passionate and skillful people has done to ensure the future of our vital work in local communities continues to be bright. I am confident that as I hand over to Ron, Tempo is in a strong position to face the challenges ahead, and his contribution will only add to that strength.
We would also like to welcome our new Trustees, who join a strong Board and diversify its wide-ranging talents and experience. We look forward to working with:
