Two new trustees for Tempo Time Credits
Volunteer and community charity, Tempo Time Credits, welcomes two new trustees this month to support the governance and oversight of the organisation which supports voluntary partnerships and community-based solutions.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary in the new year the charity was keen to engage passionate individuals from a variety of backgrounds who would complement the skills and backgrounds of their current Board of Trustees ready to deliver their strategy for the future.
Becky Booth and Angela Barrago, who will take up their posts this month, have previously worked for the charity as Spice before it rebranded to Tempo Time Credits eight years ago and bring invaluable experience from their current roles.
Becky Booth
Becky was the co-founder and first CEO of Spice setting up the charity in 2008 after developing Time Credits at the Wales Institute for Community Currencies. She led the organisation until 2017 before spending three years in Uganda supporting entrepreneurs across East Africa. She is currently the CEO of We Stand, an organisation that supports families who have been impacted by Child Sexual Abuse. Becky has also volunteered for many years as well as being a Trustee at Valley’s Kids since 2010.
Angela Barrago
Angela initially worked at Tempo as a Project Manager covering the North West before joining Chorley Council. Here she worked in partnership with Tempo to develop programmes focussing on population health, developing early intervention and support delivery processes through community engagement strategies, and strategic commissioning including the VCFS sector. She now works freelance, supporting local governments and other public sector organisations, and is a certified Coach and Mentor. She has worked as a volunteer to support access to the arts for young people from diverse communities.
Rachel Gegeshidze, CEO of Tempo Time Credits states:
I am delighted that Becky and Angela will be joining Tempo’s Board. I have been privileged to work with them both in the past and having their knowledge, skills, and passion will support Tempo to deliver our new strategy over the coming year as we celebrate our 15th anniversary.
