Building Supportive Partnerships
Tempo has a long history of building supportive partnerships with recognition partners that provide a wide range of amazing opportunities to volunteers that earn Tempo Time Credits. We take our commitment to partners very seriously and opportunities to support our partners aims and objectives.
A partnership that we are especially proud of is the one we hold with National Dance Company
Wales who we’ve worked with for several years. Our partnership with NDCWales has seen us
develop joint projects and activities to support communities in Wales that enables volunteers to
experience arts and culture through using Tempo Time Credits.
Rachel Gegeshidze (left) & Amy Cole (right) from Tempo were delighted to join the team at NDCWales at their recent Discover Dance Family Fun Day. The event saw families travel from near and far to experience a range of activities including arts and crafts, drumming, face painting, and an incredible live dance performance that included meeting and learning more about the life of a dancer in the NDCWales studio at Cardiff Bay. Rachel and Amy thoroughly enjoyed the event and the opportunity to support the team at NCDWales.
Discover Dance is a fun and relaxed interactive performance. Try some dance, then watch the professionals in action. Get the chance to warm up with our dancers from your seats, ask questions and learn some moves from the show. You’ll also watch National Dance Company Wales’ performance all about playground games called ‘Ludo’. It’s a joyous and creative experience. Young people leave feeling inspired and enthusiastic, more confident and creative.

“It was a real privilege to support the Discover Dance Day in Cardiff Bay, being able to connect with families that earn Tempo Time Credits and support them to have an amazing experience was a real highlight. Many of the children hadn’t been to Cardiff Bay before the event so the day was a real opportunity to try something new whilst learning about dance and performance.
We really value our partnership with NDCWales whose values and commitment to communities’ echo those of Tempo Time Credits. It was also good to help create a warm and welcoming environment so that families visiting the studios for the first time had a positive and engaging experience. Building a strong partnership is important to us at Tempo and we feel proud to support the work of NDCWales.
It’s partners like NDCWales that create opportunities for volunteers to use their Tempo Time Credits, and it’s through our diverse network of activities and experiences that many families access things that they would otherwise never afford or try. Events like the Discover Dance Day open the door to new possibilities and opportunities that can often be the gateway to building confidence, skills and raising aspirations. ”
Guy O’Donnell, Engagement Producer at NDCWales, said:
“Working in collaboration with Tempo means more people can see and take part in dance which supports our ambition of a Wales where dance is part of everyone’s life. We look forward to working with Tempo again in the future.”
