J is a volunteer at TAITH who was previously a client struggling with substance misuse. J helps to run the needle exchange and run the reception desk. Having lived experience of substance misuse means that J is ideally placed to help new clients who are using the service for the first time, and the service is dramatically improved because of J’s volunteering.
J uses her Tempo Time Credits to take her kids out, and recently they went ice skating as a family for the first time. As a result of earning and spending Tempo Time Credits, J feels like a better parent, a more confident person, and ready to look for future employment.
