Corporate Volunteering
& Partnerships

Give Time. Get Recognised.
At Tempo, we believe everyone has something to give, and every contribution has value. We want to explore how businesses can use their time, skills and connections to support the communities around them, while helping employees feel valued for the difference they make.

Bringing businesses and communities closer together.

Corporate volunteering doesn't have to look the same for everyone. We know that businesses have different priorities, employees have different interests, and communities have different needs. That's why we're interested in exploring flexible, locally focused partnerships that bring these things together.

How could we work together?

Corporate Volunteering Days

A different kind of away day.

Bring your team together to do something meaningful in the communities where you live and work. Rather than spending a day away from the office without a lasting local connection, imagine using your team's time and energy to support activities that bring people together.

Depending on local needs and opportunities, this could include:

  • Helping prepare or host a community meal.
  • Supporting local heritage, arts or cultural activities.
  • Helping organise a community event.
  • Getting involved with a local community organisation or project.

It's an opportunity to connect with colleagues in a different way, discover more about your local area and contribute to something that matters.

"Corporate volunteering opportunities are never a one-size fits all kind of offer. It's very much all about creating a bespoke opportunity and allowing that creativity to flourish on a call. It really is about planting that seed, and watching it grow. It's so special seeing the impact on both sides"

2. Skills-Based Volunteering
‍
‍

Every team has something valuable to offer. Sometimes, the most meaningful contribution isn't an extra pair of hands, but sharing the skills, knowledge and experience you already have. From CV writing and interview workshops to mentoring, supporting community events and sharing specialist expertise, your team can help local organisations develop, grow and make a difference.

3. Community Participation Packages

Make a difference in your own community, in your own way.

Not everyone can take part in a company-wide volunteering day. Employees have different schedules, interests and commitments and finding one cause or activity that suits everyone can be challenging. We want to explore how businesses could support employees to contribute in ways that work for them.

This could involve developing a bespoke portfolio of local volunteering opportunities, helping employees find activities that match their interests, skills and availability.

Through Tempo's approach, we could also explore how these contributions might be recognised through Time Credits.

People earn Tempo Time Credits when they volunteer with participating community organisations in our network. These can then be used towards activities and experiences offered by participating Recognition Partners, from leisure and learning to family days out and entertainment.

It's about helping people enjoy their local area, try something new and feel valued for the time they give, while supporting the organisations and businesses that make local communities thrive.

Recognition that goes beyond a thank you.

At Tempo, we believe recognising people's contributions can help create a lasting culture of participation.Tempo Time Credits recognise the time people give to strengthen their communities. They offer a practical way to say thank you, helping people access experiences they value while connecting community organisations with local and national businesses. For corporate partnerships, we're interested in exploring how this approach could help create value for everyone involved.

‍Why now?

‍Unlocking the potential of employee volunteering

Research found that 140 million hours of employer-supported volunteering went unused in the UK over a 12-month period. At Tempo, we want to help make volunteering more accessible and flexible, connecting businesses with opportunities to make a difference in their local communities.
