J is a volunteer at TAITH who was previously a client struggling with substance misuse. J helps to run the needle exchange and run the reception desk. Having lived experience of substance misuse means that J is ideally placed to help new clients who are using the service for the first time, and the service is dramatically improved because of J's volunteering.J uses her Tempo Time Credits to take her kids out, and recently they went ice skating as a family for the first time. As a result of earning and spending Tempo Time Credits, J feels like a better parent, a more confident person, and ready to look for future employment.
