Using an Asset-Based Community Development approach, we focus on what is strong within communities rather than what is missing. By recognising people's skills, knowledge and lived experience, we help unlock local potential and create opportunities for neighbours to support one another.

Time Credits is built on co-production, where residents are active partners in shaping healthier, stronger communities, not simply recipients of services.

Every contribution is recognised equally, helping to build trust, strengthen relationships and encourage more people to get involved in community life.

More Than Volunteering

Giving time is often the start of something bigger.

For many people, Time Credits helps build confidence, reduce isolation, support recovery and create meaningful connections. By earning and spending Time Credits, residents discover new activities, meet new people and become more connected to the places where they live.

Along the way, they develop new skills, increase their confidence and open up opportunities that support long-term wellbeing and social mobility.

Supporting Healthier Lives

Time Credits also plays an important role in supporting Haringey's health and wellbeing ambitions.

Through initiatives such as One You Haringey's Volunteer Health Champions, local people use their own experiences to encourage healthier lifestyles within their communities. Time Credits recognises these valuable contributions, strengthening peer support and helping more residents become active participants in improving community health.
