Days out with your Tempo Time Credits

Why does January always feel like it’s dragged on for more than a month?  Thankfully the nights are getting a little lighter and it’s not as cold as it was so the perfect time to plan some days out with your Time Credits.

Don’t know where to start? We’ve put together some ideas to keep everyone happy. . .

Gruesome history relived

We’ve got plenty of castles and museums in our network to explore but if you fancy something different there is an Executions Exhibition currently running at the Museum of London Docklands. The museum brings the rarely told and often tragic human stories behind the public executions that were a major part of Londoners’ lives for centuries.  There are a number of fascinating objects on display including the vest said to have been worn by King Charles I when he was executed.  Given the nature of the exhibition, it’s aimed at 12 years plus and tickets can be purchased for 2 Time Credits until 16th April.

If you prefer this darker side of history, then Lancaster Castle should be on your list too! Used as a fully functioning HM Prison until 2011 its courtrooms have witnessed many famous and infamous trials over the centuries including those of the Lancashire Witches.  A tour here takes you into the dock complete with branding iron, and the opportunity to compare the chilling dungeons of the castle with the cells of the modern prison.  Book your family day out for 2 Time Credits.

Adventure thrills

Playzone in Swansea is a fantastic indoor play centre that’s suitable for all ages. There are huge slides, rope walkways, fireman’s poles and bish-bash bags – hours of fun!  2 Time Credits will provide admission for 1 child and 1 adult.

Alternatively head to the woods for the Go Ape Forest Segways. Once you’ve completed the introductory training session you’re free to explore the beauty of the forest on their spectacular off-road trails for 3 Time Credits.

If you prefer your adventure on the waves then try the sport of Hawaiian Kings and Queens in the UK’s cultural hub of surfing, Newquay! 3 Time Credits will secure surfboard or bodyboard and wetsuit hire for the day at the fantastic Newquay Activity Centre ideally situated close to Towan Beach offering access to some of Cornwall’s best surfing beaches.

Planning for a rainy day?

This is the UK after all and great plans always need a great plan B!  We have a number of cinemas throughout the network from The Barbican, Arthouse, Phoenix & Genesis cinemas in London to the Lighthouse Cinema in Cambridge & Wisbech plus the WTW venues in Newquay, St Austell, Truro & Wadebridge. With tickets bought with your Time Credits, it’s just the popcorn and a big bag of Haribos required for a perfect afternoon.

Whatever you’re planning, enjoy your days out with friends and family, and make sure you tag us in your social media posts. We love to hear about what you get up to!
