New Partner Alert: ActiveNewham
Today marks the launch of an exciting partnership with ActiveNewham, a new member within our recognition partner network.
Now live on our Digital Time Credit site, ActiveNewham invites Tempo volunteers to use their credits for Gym or Swimming Sessions at any of the 4 leisure centres, which are the Atherton Leisure Center, East Ham Leisure Center, Manor Park Fitness Centre and Newham Leisure Centre.
For people living in and around London, ActiveNewham is easy to get to and works alongside the projects we have ongoing in the area. So, if you earn your Time Credits through volunteering in Newham, Tower Hamlets, City or another London area, you may be a short journey from a ActiveNewham leisure centre!
Pre-bookings are required, and volunteers are asked to register for an ActiveNewham card before attending, this can all be done by calling 0300 124 0123. Time Credits can only be used outside of peak hours, full details can be found here.
With us all seeing less of the sun, it’s important we are looking after our mental health even more during the colder months. A study from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health found that running for 15 minutes a day or walking for an hour reduces the risk of major depression by 26%. Making this new partnership great for the wellbeing of our volunteers.
If you are interested in using your Time Credits, book a gym session or swim session.
Please note that you will not be able to spend your credits without booking beforehand and registering for an ActiveNewham card.
